Blue Valley Foundation Project Summaries

The Blue Valley Foundation has chosen to focus its present attention on the Qinghai Geysar Foundation, one of the few privately run charitable non-profits in Qinghai Province, China. Run by Tibetans, with the heartfelt intention of preserving Tibetan culture while providing desperately needed services for indigenous peoples who are sorely underserved, Blue Valley has chosen these main areas to concentrate its activities.

Hungkar Dorje Regional Multi-Disciplinary Technical School

Mostly nomadic, largely neglected and the poorest of the poor – providing practical skills and an education for the indigenous Eastern Tibetan people will help hundreds enter the 21st century successfully. Education is the key to preserving an ancient cultural heritage.  Read more …

How sad it is to see the rapid environmental changes taking place on the Tibetan Plateau. Clean air and pristine waters, earth protected for millennia by isolation from the mechanized world and through traditional use practices are being lost to chemical residue brought on by careless “strip-mining” and the introduction of non-biodegradable plastics. Tender, loving care for the frail elderly on the Tibetan Plateau, especially those without family or trained caregivers, has been identified as an increasingly crucial need in today’s rapidly changing society. Rural Community Health Care Clinic and Health Care Outreach

In partnership with the Qinghai Gesar Foundation, which has already provided medicines and care to thousands of underserved Tibetan people for decades, we are in the initial planning stages of building a 35 room clinic on 7 acres of donated land.  The Rural Community Health Care Clinic and Outreach which will serve a minimum of 10,000 people each year with a combination of traditional Tibetan Medicines and allopathic (Western) medicines and treatment.
